Many wars have taken place for ages far back from the ancient era and the modern era. Wars have taken place in the name of peace, but did they bring peace? A war is an excuse that people use to fulfill their greed and hunger for power. It is a threat to humanity. War is never ever justified; wars cause threat, destruction, loss, strained relationships and suffering. People have many dreams and goals that they hope to succeed in their life, but frequent wars make people live in constant fear of being attacked, thereby destroying their dreams. It leads to millions of loss of innocent lives that cannot be replaced.

In the olden days, people used stone tools and small weapons such as bows and arrows, swords and many more that can only kill one person at a time, but modern warfare weapons like atomic bombs and nuclear weapons that kill millions of people, pollute the environment and destroy the entire civilization at a snap of a finger like in the movies of Avengers. It can even kill generations and generations of people who survived the war, like the atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki which took place 75 years ago and still has genetic effects on the survivors.

There are no winners in a war. Everyone is a loser. All people in a war always lose something or another, like many relations, homes, their dreams and many more which only a person who has experienced a war situation can describe. There is no joy or victory in seeing the loss of lives, shedding of blood, tears of eyes, deserted areas, sufferings and the horrors of people. Soldiers who go to war with blazing eyes know the true cost of war and the preciousness of peace. Some wars have taken place saying that they wanted to end all wars but the world has never seen the end of wars. One of the current examples is the Russia and Ukraine wars. Only those who lost their lives during the war have seen the end of war.

We must all realize that war will be the end of the world. No war can stop wars or create peace in the world. It can only bomb the world into pieces. A war that has started will never end without destruction. It is always a must to stop before the destruction of war reaches our eyes. War is a choice, but always a bad choice. Countries which take up guns as flowers will see flowers only in graveyards. Don’t be the person to create such a world for your child. Use words, not weapons, to solve conflicts. Let’s all join hands to create a world beyond war, since “War is never justified”.
