Ingredients of Kashmiri Halwa
- 4 tsp desi ghee
- 1 Cup oats
- 2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grain sugar
- 1 tsp green cardamom powder
- Few saffron threads
- Few cashew nuts, almonds and raisins
How to Make Kashmiri Halwa
- Take a non-stick pan and heat 2 to 3 teaspoon of ghee and fry the oats on low heat till the colour changes.
- Heat the milk and sugar in the pan and bring it to boil.
- Once the sugar has dissolved completely, add the fried oats and stir continuously.
- After stirring, add the cardamom powder and the remaining ghee.
- Add the saffron threads for color and aroma. Stir until the mixture leaves sides of the pan.
- Remove from fire and garnish with fried cashews and raisins
- Your Kashmiri Halwa is ready to serve and eat.
